Clean Web blocks the domains and addresses collected by the open-source blocklists and filter lists below. Thank you to the people who research, maintain and share them. Next to each list are the tiers that use it.

How Clean Web uses these lists

Once a week, Clean Web downloads each list and merges the lists of every tier. From the filter lists, which are written for browser ad blockers, it keeps only the rules that block a specific address on a site, and leaves out any that an exception in the lists overrides or that could break links. It removes duplicates and converts the result into its own formats: a compact filter that ships with the app, and a database on our server that your device queries using Private Information Retrieval. The filters are therefore modified versions of these lists.

These projects are independent of Clean Web and don't endorse it. If Clean Web blocks something it shouldn't, please tell us rather than the list maintainers.

Each list keeps its own license, linked from its card above. Nothing in our Terms of Use limits the rights these licenses give you.
