Terms of Use

Last updated 16 October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Clean Web app on iPhone, iPad and Mac (the "App") and to the services it uses. They form an agreement between you and Mihai Seremet, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"), of 9 Reardon Path, London, E1W 2AN, United Kingdom. Please read them carefully. By downloading or using the App, you agree to them.

1. Your licence

Your licence to use the App is granted under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These Terms supplement the Standard EULA. Where the two conflict, the Standard EULA prevails.

As the Standard EULA states, this agreement is between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App, its maintenance and support, and for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

2. What Clean Web does

Clean Web uses Apple's URL filtering technology to block connections to web addresses that appear on blocklists, such as those associated with advertising, tracking or malicious content. Addresses are checked on your device and, where needed, confirmed privately with our servers, as described in our Privacy Policy. Filtering only works while it is turned on in your device's settings and while your device can reach our servers.

3. Free and Premium features

Some protection levels are free. Others require a Clean Web Premium subscription, which is available monthly or yearly.

4. Limits of filtering

We work hard to keep the App effective, but blocking is never perfect:

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual property and third-party content

The App, its design and our trademarks belong to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. Blocklists and open-source software included in or used by the App are provided under their own licences, which you can find on our Credits page.

7. Changes and availability

We may update, change or remove features of the App, for example to improve it, respond to changes in Apple's platforms or meet legal requirements. Updates may be needed to keep using the App, and newer versions may require a newer operating system. We aim to keep the service available but can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. If we decide to stop offering the App, we'll give reasonable notice where we can. You can then cancel your subscription and ask Apple about a refund for any unused period.

8. Our responsibility to you

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. Advice about your rights is available from Citizens Advice in the UK, or from a consumer organisation in your country.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Apart from that:

9. Ending these Terms

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription, so please also cancel it as described in section 3. If you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, we may suspend or end your access to our servers. Where appropriate, we'll tell you first.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects you, we'll let you know in the App or on this website at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree with the changes, you can stop using the App and cancel your subscription.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may instead bring proceedings in the courts of your home country. If you live in the European Union or elsewhere outside the UK, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

12. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to someone who takes over the App, as long as this does not reduce your rights.

13. Contact us

For any question, complaint or claim about the App or these Terms, email mseremet.dev@gmail.com or write to Mihai Seremet, 9 Reardon Path, London, E1W 2AN, United Kingdom.
